Voyager Estate Shiraz 2010

There’s something so reliable about Voyager and in 2010 this Shiraz is looking fairly smart, although not as good as some of their releases in the last five years. It’s full of black cherry, plum, violets, cinnamon and nuances of raspberry, theres oak, but it compliments rather than intrudes. It’s a wine that feels as well as tastes, coating the palate with a swathe of textural black fruit, fine knit tannins and a medium bodied weight that mixes fruit, spice and acids beautifully before a gravelly finish that’s a bit drying but enjoyable. I’d drink more than a glass of this very happily.
Region: Margaret River
Alcohol: 13.5%
